Charlotte County Sheriff's Office issued the following announcement on July 18.
PETCO! Where the pets go! And apparently alligators.
DFC Reid and Leuthner responded to Petco after a call came into dispatch about a 6-foot gator waiting for the business to open.
They advised him that the doors wouldn't open for a while so he happily went back into the canal.
