DeSoto County School District issued the following announcement on Oct. 27.
On October 27, 2021, the School District of DeSoto County received information of a possible threat towards the DeSoto Middle School. DMS was immediately placed in a Code White Limited Lockdown. The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office conducted a thorough investigation and determined that this was not a credible threat. The lockdown was lifted and the students resumed their normal schedule.
The School District of DeSoto County takes all threats seriously and immediately reports them to law enforcement. We value this close working relationship to protect our students and employees.
