On December 14, 2022 the Charlotte County Department of Health presented a special awards to four members of the community for their fitness achievements completed through a County recreation program.
Since January of 2021 this group has been consistently walking 3 laps 3 times a week around Harold Avenue Regional Park and in doing so they have each completed over 500 miles. The awards were presented by Dr. Joseph Pepe who serves as the Administrator at the Florida Department of Health in Charlotte County. The Charlotte County Department of Health consistently supports programs that promote healthy habits and lifestyles within the community.
