Charlotte County Sheriff Bill Prummell and staff are working closely with the Florida Gaming Control Commission, Division of Gaming Enforcement, notifying local businesses who may be operating an illegal slot machine(s) or gambling device(s) in violation of section 849.16, Florida Statutes.
Our goal is to educate the public and local business owners on these laws. The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office will continue to work closely with Law Enforcement partners to ensure these businesses are operating within Florida law.
