We understand how hard it can be to find dependable and licensed contractors. We, unfortunately, hear the horror stories and aftermath of dealing with those who fraudulently present themselves as licensed contractors.
We are asking that anyone who has contracted with unlicensed contractors and wishes to contact the Sheriff's Office to call 941-639-2101 and a deputy will be dispatched to your location within Charlotte County to initiate your complaint. Please have information and documentation such as a copy of the contract, the scope of work hired to perform, method of payment, and payment receipt prepared for the deputy to collect. Copies of text, email, and photos relevant to the complaint are welcomed too.
