2021 has 4.6% of Lee County residents unemployed

Lee County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.6% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 15,675 people out of the 752,251 living in Lee County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Lee County has decreased compared to the 4.9% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Lee County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Of the 323,299 people who had a job during that time, 288 were employed in the Armed Forces and 323,011 belonged to the civilian labor force.
