5.4% of citizens unemployed in Charlotte County in 2021

Charlotte County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.4% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 3,778 people out of the 184,837 living in Charlotte County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Charlotte County has decreased compared to the 5.8% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Charlotte County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Of the 66,493 people who had a job during that time, 30 were employed in the Armed Forces and 66,463 belonged to the civilian labor force.
