Charlotte County issued the following announcement on Jan. 7.
Intermittent lane closures will occur on County Road 74 (Bermont Road) from State Road 31 to the Charlotte/Glades county line beginning Monday, Jan. 10 until Thursday, Mar. 31. These closures are required to perform milling and resurfacing of the roadway. Advanced warning signs and detour signs will be in place to aid travelers through this area. Travelers are encouraged to choose an alternate route when possible.
The Public Works Department reminds motorists to remain alert at all times and to exercise caution when traveling in the vicinity of construction zones.
