Charlotte County issued the following announcement on Feb. 2.

The Construction Industry Licensing Board is seeking a volunteer to represent the general contractor category. Volunteer must be a resident of Charlotte County for at least two years and be a licensed general contractor. Length of term is four years. The MPO – Citizens’ Advisory Committee is seeking two Charlotte County residents to serve as a West County representatives (applicant must live West of the Myakka River); and a South County representative. The CAC reviews and makes recommendations on transportation plans and projects that the MPO Board will consider

The MPO - Charlotte County Transportation Disadvantaged Local Coordinating Board is seeking one volunteer, a person with a disability representing the disabled in the county. The purpose of the LCB is to identify local service needs and to provide information, advice, and direction to the Community Transportation Coordination of service to be provided to the transportation disadvantaged.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday, March 9, 2022.
