County Debris Contractor Passes 1.75 Million Cubic Yards Collected

Charlotte County’s Hurricane Ian debris contractor, AshBritt, passed a major recovery milestone Wednesday when it collected its 1.75 millionth cubic yard of debris. AshBritt has delivered more than 37,000 loads of debris to four county staging sites since collection began Oct. 7, less than six weeks ago.

The county estimates more than 2.5 million cubic yards will be collected. We estimate all debris will be collected by March 2023. We appreciate the public’s patience during the process.
