ADDENDUM 3

 FOR

 IFB 2022-06 LOUIS ANDERSON/MLK PARK IMPROVEMENTS

 Clarification:  The contractor shall remove and replace damaged basketball hoops, backboards and

support poles as called out on the plans. The old equipment will be salvaged for the City but all new equipment including support poles will be installed in the project.

The following information is being provided in answer to questions raised by potential Bidders.

Question 1:    At the above site will the basketball courts be color surfaced or only line markings?  If more than lines are being done then possibly CSS has the products.    

Response:     The existing basketball courts are painted, and the proposed basketball courts are to be painted (color surfaced) according to the plans (not just striped).

 Question 2:    Does tennis court need to be resurfaced?

 Response:    No

 Question 3:   How many bollards need to be removed?

 Response:     All existing bollards need to be removed.

 Question 4:    Does contractor need to provide the Benches and Bleachers?    

 Response:     Yes

 Question 5:    Does contractor need to dispose of old playground equipment?

Response:     The City will keep the old playground equipment after it is removed.

Question 6:    Does contractor need to provide Picnic tables and BBQ grills?

Response:     No

Question 7:    Does the contractor need to remove any trees?

Response:    No trees shall be removed.

Question 8:    What are the work hours? Can we work Saturday as well?  

Response:     That can be determined at the Pre-Construction meeting after the Bid is awarded.

 Question 9:    If the backboard and hoop is new but the basketball pole is still to be used, can you provide

me the required weight for the strength of the existing pole.  

 Response:     The basketball poles will be new.

 Question 10: The existing bathroom building, what type of work are your requiring for the contractor to do?

Demo and all new install of the building? 

 Response:     As stated in SCHEDULE H – EXISTING CONCESSION/BATHROOM BUILDING OF THE

BID FORM:  DEMOLISH AND REMOVE PLUMBING, HVAC, ELECTRICAL POWER, AND LIGHTING. CONSTRUCT NEW WOOD TRUSS AND 5 V CRIMP ROOF ON EXISTING CONCRETE SLAB WITH HM DOORS AND ALUMINUM WINDOWS.

 Question 11:  Are you going to be needing the sidewalks to be removed and replaced? If so, can you

provide the dimensions of the new sidewalks. 

Response:     Sidewalks shall be constructed on clean compacted fill. Sidewalks must be American

Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant and slopes shall not exceed 1:12 longitudinally and 2% Cross slope. 

Question 12:  Do we have to remove the electric panel cmu wall that is next to the tennis court?  

Response:     No.     

Question 13: Do we have to remove and replace the concrete water fountain that is next to the tennis

court?    

 Response:     No.
