On December 13th, 2022, we hosted our annual Charlotte County Sheriff's Explorer Post 29 Recognition Dinner hosted by the Charlotte Habor Yacht Club. This year was a challenge, to say the least, but the Explorers never quit and made this year another successful one. During the recognition dinner, the Explorers were recognized for achieving various milestones and special recognitions like the Life Saver award.
This special award was earned by Aiden Stacy who just months after becoming CPR Certified, jumped into action when a member of his family began choking. Explorer Stacy knew exactly what to do and performed the Heimlich Maneuver, clearing the airway, and allowing his family member to breathe again.
