W. Retta Esplanade Avenue from Gill St. to west of Berry St.– Beginning Monday, January 9, 2023 through Friday, Tuesday, January 31, 2023 (weather depending).  Retta Esplanade Ave. will close at the following intersections to perform patterned textured asphalt placement scheduled at the following intersections: Gilchrist St., McGregor St., Chasteen St. and Dolly St.  Traffic devices and flaggers will be present to detour pedestrian and vehicular traffic while work is performed.

Harborwalk phase II parking lot and uplands improvement  construction is approximately 90% complete with electrical work continuing.  Project completion is tentatively scheduled end of March, 2023 due to a delay in the manufacturing of site furnishings delivery and contractor installation.

The project scope includes: demolishing existing parking lots, constructing new parking lots, sidewalks with decorative lights and bollards, landscaping, and street tree installation. The new configuration also includes new on-street diagonal parking, crosswalks, sidewalk connections, ADA sidewalk ramps, patterned textured pavement, and pavement markings.
Travelers are requested to use extreme caution while workers are present in the right of way and allow additional time for travel as temporary delays are

anticipated.
