On March 13, 2023, DeSoto County Sheriff's Office received a call from a concerned citizen regarding Edward William Lukach driving around taking pictures of children near SW Barbara Drive. But this isn't the first time!
We arrested Edward back in January for 11 counts of child pornography charges, and when he bonded out, he was placed on a Supervised Pretrial Release (SPR). The DCSO Criminal Investigative Division (CID) detectives analyzed and recovered several forms of sexually explicit images on his electronic devices including several computers and cell phones.
Since yesterday, probation officers obtained a new warrant in reference to Violation of the SPR, and he is now BACK BEHIND BARS of the DeSoto County Jail! Sheriff Potter has NO TOLERANCE for potentially harmful and dangerous criminals that are sneaking around your children.
