Over 260 stuffed animals will be individually gifted to children all across our community! The DeSoto County Sheriff's Office wishes a BIG thank you to DeSoto County High School members of Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) and Students Working Against Tobacco (SWAT). These students collected stuffed animals over the past month for their Annual Teddy Bear Drive. Some were donated, others HOMEMADE, and together all the bears were split between DCSO and the Arcadia Police Department.
These stuffed animals will be gifted to children facing tough situations, serving as a sense of security, comfort and joy for each kid.
Mr. Rom, Mr. Kornell and Mr. Johnson are the group sponsors who help guide these incredible students. Sheriff Potter is proud of each of the inspiring, hard-working, young leaders who put their extra time from school and extracurricular activities to make an impact for children in our community.
